losiing weight is good for helping people with diabetes. than starting there. Vegetables are excellent. Be sure to follow the rules of the food pyramid. Fruit .... the fruit is much better for you than juice. All this is true, but I must say that they have always been small (less than 110 pounds) and practiced every day, eat well and maybe 3X a sip of alcohol per year. I started gaining weight after 6 months or more I practice 3 hours a day, etc, etc, etc. ..... I was before the diagnosis of diabetes, and if I was not under control, a type-2. The only sign I had was weight gain. My dad was never too late in life, and I thought I'd get, but I do. Now I have me a good hard look at the GI diet am. Go figure!
